At team.blue, covering renowned entities like DanDomain, ScanNet, and Curanet, we have developed an online payment solution, OnPay, serving a majority of the Nordic online stores.

As the Software Team Lead, you will play a vital role in our Software Engineering team, with responsibilities that extend across leadership of the team, steering the agile process, making sure the technical direction is kept in close cooperation with the team as well as hands-on technical tasks.

Position overview

You will manage a team of 2 Software Engineers with full end-to-end responsibility for the OnPay platform. Reporting to the Software Director, you will focus on both expanding and maintaining the platform.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor: Guide software engineers through the development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Collaboration and communication: Work closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to define project requirements and align them with business goals.
  • Agile process: Lead and oversee all stages of the agile process, including refinement, planning, and tracking progress.
  • Technical expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the team, and contribute as a developer on concrete tasks when time allows.
  • Code review and quality assurance: Ensure coding standards are met and implement practices to maintain high software quality.
  • PCI compliance: Ensure PCI DSS Level 1 requirements are met, viewing them as strengths and helpful tools rather than obstacles.
  • Resource management: Manage team resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization.
  • Performance management: Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and foster professional growth and development within the team.

 

Qualifications

  • Background in Software Engineering with 5-7+ years of experience in software development and management.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing an agile software team.
  • Strong understanding of team dynamics, software engineering, and agile processes.
  • Exceptional decision-making skills, effective communication, and a strategic outlook on software development.
  • Proficiency in PHP with a deep mastery of its core principles in web applications.
  • Advanced understanding of object-oriented programming principles (OOP, OOD, SOLID), algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
  • Skilled in profiling, debugging, and using code quality tools like SonarQube.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proficiency in English and Danish.
  • Preference for office-based work.

 

In your advantage

  • Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel
  • PCI DSS compliance experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
