In support of this, we are looking for a new Mechanical Development Engineer to join our R&D team for heat, cooling, and water meters.

You will become a part of our Technology R&D HCW Meters department responsible for the development of our heat- cooling- and water meters. The department consists of 35 dedicated colleagues including development engineers, physicists, and project managers, all seeking to improve our solutions through in-depth understanding and research. Your nearest team consists of 7 development engineers with a focus on mechanical and flow measurement solutions.

A job with focus on innovative product development and professionalism

In the role as Mechanical Development Engineer, you will get a key role in the development of new products for Kamstrup's meter program. Your focus will be on designing future flow metering products while taking active part in development projects with the aim of raising the bar of flow measurement capability. You will get rich opportunities to share knowledge with experienced colleagues and one area of interest may be to develop and explore new solutions within the field of injection molded parts.

More specifically, your will be:

Working with 3D-CAD design

  • Embracing a modelling and simulation approach with access to state-of-the-art simulation FEA software (Comsol, Matlab, Moldex3D)
  • Ensuring products with high quality, high measurement performance, and efficient manufacturing
  • Validating solution concepts utilizing our in-house laboratory facility

Personality matters

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Development Engineer with a broad professional understanding of mechanics and materials. To be successful in this role, you succeed in applying your holistic view on how electronics, hardware and mechanics are interconnected. You may have recently graduated or have worked a few years combined with a bachelor or a civil engineer background.

It is considered an advantage if you have knowledge about following areas:

  • SolidWorks or similar 3D-CAD design tools
  • Simulation using FEA, flow, strength, physics.
  • Experimental setups in the laboratories
  • Properties of plastic materials

As a person your professionalism enables you to take the right data-driven decisions even though you will be exposed to challenges. Your structure and creative problem-solving skills help you to develop innovative solutions and to deliver on time. Lastly, you are independent, dare to take on challenges and use your colleagues for knowledge exchange and sparring.

It is a requirement that you are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Danish will be an advantage.
